Here are some of the local suppliers, contractors and other service providers we partner with from Saint John, Rothesay, Quispamsis and Grand Bay.

Rockton Ventures Incorporated supports Saint John businesses.

Materials Suppliers

We try to source locally as much as possible.

We’re big fans of Ritchie’s Building & Flooring Centre on Rothesay Avenue in Saint John for their wide selection of flooring options and because they’re suppliers of Boomerang recycled paint (under the Orbit brand) and made-in-the-Maritimes windows and doors from Peter Kohler Windows & Entrance Systems.

We also check the Habitat for Humanity ReStore on a regular basis for their great deals.

When we have to hit up a big box store, we try to make it Atlantic Canada’s Kent Building Supplies. Our preference though is to support locally-owned franchises, so we have accounts at Loch Lomond Home Hardware and Grand Bay Home Hardware.

We always order our countertops from Bob’s Kitchen Shop on the Dolan Road in Rothesay. Our preferred garage door installer is Dalta J. Doors. We turn to Brookville Manufacturing for crushed rock and KEEL Construction for top soil.

Trades

We’re pleased to work with highly qualified plumbers and electricians. When it’s time to bring in the professionals, we call on Sure Flow Plumbing & Heating and Leading Edge Electrical.

For home heating, we solicit the expertise of LeRoy’s Heating Services Ltd. and we purchase heating fuel from Park Fuels Ltd.

Saint John Equipment Rentals

If you’re looking for affordable equipment rental with friendly service from a local business, we highly recommend East Coast Rental Equipment Ltd, behind the railroad tracks off Rothesay Avenue at 20 Recycling Street.

To cart away our demolition debris, we turn to GFL Environmental for dumpster rentals.

Professional Services

Sheila Elliott with EXIT Realty Specialists shows us dozens of houses until we find the perfect diamond-in-the-rough. And when we’re done working our magic on it, it’s her we turn to then it’s time to put it back on the market.

We’re thankful for our relationship with Keith Melvin at Bank of Montreal, who helps us access the lending we need for our projects, while ensure we keep our borrowing costs low.

Jamie Feenan and his team at Feenan Law help us dot all of the Is and cross all of the Ts to make sure our real estate transactions are as seamless as possible.

Insuring properties that are vacant or under construction can be a challenge. The folks at JM & CW Hope Grant Insurance help us find the right insurance products to protect our investments.
